An elegant and sumptuous environment

Located on the edge of Windsor Great Park, the Fairmont Windsor Park hotel is surrounded by forty acres of open green space and a tranquil lake, yet within easy reach of Heathrow Airport and Central London.

Formerly known as Heath Lodge, it was a private home until purchased by Baron John Henry Schroder in 1864. Following several changes of name and ownership, in 2014 it was acquired by Surinder Arora as The Savill Court.

When planning a total rebuild, the owners sought to retain the hotel’s traditional Jacobean architecture while incorporating modern elegance, comfort and luxury throughout its 251 guestrooms and suites.

The Fairmont Windsor Park also presents a selection of dining options and a spa offering facilities that include 18 treatment rooms, a traditional hammam, a 20-metre indoor pool and courtyard vitality pool, a cryotherapy chamber and Himalayan salt room.

Views from the hotel include Windsor Great Park, Windsor Castle and Frogmore House, a 17th-century English country house and royal retreat since Queen Charlotte purchased it in 1790.

To create an elegant and sumptuous environment, Interior Designers from Grove Developments sourced tiles and stone from Pyro + Echo for all the rooms, suites, bathrooms, corridors, atria, swimming pool and changing areas, confident that they could undertake a project of this scale and prestige.

Front of house and washroom ambience

At front of house, guests are greeted by beige Portrait Gallery Stone porcelain tiles that perfectly replicate the natural beauty of stone itself, offset with a bespoke-cut inset border of Cosmic Black granite. This effect is perfectly complemented by Natural Limestone Walls by South Coast Stone, who also sourced, fabricated and provided installation advice for a feature floor in the Rotunda area.

In the male public washrooms, the subtle colour variations and bold veining of Central Coast Stone tiles add a confident masculinity combined with a PTV+36 slip rating, while in the female public washrooms the smoky tones and subtle white veining of Armani Marble create an ambience of purity, modernity and elegance.

Spa and Wellness beauty and performance

On entering the spa and wellness suite, a porcelain tiled floor combines the smoky, soft grey veins and feathery lines of cool Statuario Carrara Marble and the intense dark greens of Verde Saint Denis in a distinctive herringbone pattern.

The same Statuario Carrara Marble is carried through to the treatment area while elsewhere in the suite, Portrait Gallery Stone tiles have been specially cut to a locking keystone design that coordinates with the mosaic of the pool.

Throughout the spa and wellness suite, floor tiles are correctly rated for wet area safety.

The same attention has been extended to the guest suites.

Suites that exudes pure, elegant modernity

Entering the Marble Suite, Armani Marble porcelain flooring once again exudes pure, elegant modernity, using large diagonal tiles for the main floor area and bespoke cut linear edges. In the ensuite bathroom, Statuario Carrara Marble is used both on the walls and floor, with the latter being PTV+36 slip rated, and a Cosmic Black Granite countertop and splashback add classic style to the vanity.

In the Red Suite, the entrance floor displays the dramatic mix of whites, greys and hues of gold that is unique to Calacatta Oro Marble porcelain, accentuated by a border of Cosmic Black granite. In the ensuite bathroom, a bespoke herringbone pattern of Statuario Carrara Marble adorns the walls, with coordinating PTV+36 slip-rated Calacatta Oro Marble herringbone tiles to the floor.

There is no mistaking the colour theme of the Blue Suite. On entering, guests are met by the dramatic blue, grey and white swirls of Cosmic Blue floor tiles. This same tile is used on the walls of the ensuite bathroom, where it is paired with the subtle mid-beige tones of PTV+36 slip-rated West Side Stone tiles, cut to create a narrow planked effect.
